On‐Road car breakdown assistance and medical assistance facilitation with Goodyear ‘FAST AID’

New Delhi, August 29th, 2012

Goodyear India, one of India’s leading tyre companies, announces the re‐launch of FAST AID – an on‐ road car breakdown and medical assistance facilitation program for its customers from July 1st 2012.

For almost 90 years, Goodyear India has been constantly evolving its products, technologies and programs to give its customers world class, market‐back safety innovations and solutions. Fast Aid is one such program and the first of its kind in the India tyre industry.

With every Goodyear tyre purchase, a consumer is entitled for a free subscription to Fast Aid. The subscription is good for one full year or three emergency calls, whichever comes earlier. This service is applicable for any on‐road car breakdown situation* in any part of the country, including national highways. As an additional service, Goodyear Fast Aid also offers free on‐road medical assistance facilitation* to its members in emergencies.

Mr. D.P. Singh, VP, Consumer Business said, “Goodyear is committed to providing its customers the best tyre technology and reliable services that the industry has to offer. When you sign up for Fast Aid, you will have the peace of mind that in the event of any on‐road breakdown of your vehicle, you can simply call the toll free number for assistance”.

Fast Aid was introduced in 2010 and has already assisted thousands of Goodyear consumers. Goodyear is re‐launching this initiative with an added medical facilitation service in collaboration with AXA Assistance – a leading international service provider.

With this program, Goodyear once again reinforces its position of being the tyre of choice when it comes to safety and customer service. Many other past initiatives (such as Goodyear’s Highway Helper iPhone and Android application) have time and again highlighted the company’s commitment towards providing the best in‐class technology and ensuring road‐safety to it’s customers.

Goodyear’s Highway Helper iPhone/ Android app is a free mobile utility featuring one‐touch access to emergency numbers, step‐by‐step guides to basic repairs, tips on tyre and motor safety, interactive games, and even a tyre dealer locator
